David Bala was a Singaporean comedian and actor. He is best known for his roles in Tetangga, Just Follow Law, Ah Long Pte Ltd and The Ghosts Must Be Crazy.
He was involved in the local entertainment industry for over 40 years, beginning with stage acting in 1976. He has been in radio drama productions, television shows, local movie productions and was a favourite on Vasantham.
In 1980, he was presented with the award of "Kalaichemmal" (Arts Medallion) by the Singapore Indian Artistes' Association. He was also awarded the "Lifetime Achievement Award" at Pradhana Vizha 2009 for 38 years of service in the arts.
He is survived by his wife and 4 children.
